SECURITY
Software and database
- Each CLOKEY MANAGER software is designed to work with its own CLOKEY ENGINES. However it is up to Software owner to keep the installation CD-Rom in a safe place to guaranty
that no external source will be able to generate Client Files (.ck*) acceptable by their CLOKEY
ENGINE.
- If a very high level of security is required, PIN number keying should be compulsory.
Database
- Databases are encrypted (64 bit key), and signed with a Certificate.
Hardware
- All data exchanges between CkiQF, CkiDX and Host PC are encoded. However and especially for the Door
Lock Controller Box (CkiDX), cabling must be physically protected against violation to guaranty
security.
Alarm
- CLOKEY is not an alarm system; when ILS surveillance detects an abnormal situation,
CLOKEY will execute a command line setup in CLOKEY MANAGER. This command line can activate an
alarm system or dial a phone number with external software.
- CLOKEY cannot detect if more than one user goes through the door. If such control is necessary,
you need extra equipment specialized in such application. You may also install a web cam with
motion detection.

runs as service and leaves host PC free for other operation.
