CLOKEY System uses two data cable, one for USB Fingerprint Sensor, one for the controller (serial data).
USB cabling follows USB specification with its limits:
Above 5 meters you must use active USB extension cables
You can link up to 5 active cables 16 ft to get 80 ft.
For longer distance, you can use USB extender; a pair of USB extender will allow up to 200ft.
You can combine USB Hub, Extenders and USB to Serial converters to simplify the wiring.
(Only one USB link to the host PC, but power supply will have to be shifted to the controller.)
