Clokey™ with fingerprint sensor for time clock only

This is the simplest use for CLOKEY™. The CLOKEY™ system uses the U.are.U® Fingerprint Sensor to get a digital reading of a staff members fingerprint. Eight sensors can be connected to same computer running CLOKEY™, using USB interface. When a staff member activates the sensor by placing their chosen finger (at time of registration) onto the sensor, CLOKEY™ searches in encrypted FPC database to find a match. If a match is found, CLOKEY™ will then log that person in and send notifications according to access rules already set up for that user. Sounds and events are sent by the computer to provide feedback to the staff member, indicating if a match was found with the fingerprint.

CLOKEY™ with U.are.U® Fingerprint Sensor only & Door Lock Controller (CkiDX)

CLOKEY™ Door Lock Controller (CkiDX) is the essential part of an E-Gate system. It is the mechanism that unlocks security doors to allow access to authorized staff members. It is connected to the computer running CLOKEY™ using the RX serial port. Up to eight CkiDX controllers can be installed in parallel mode, sharing the same RX serial port. Like a network, each CkiDX controller has it's own address. This allows the CLOKEY™ engine to send to two different CkiDX on the same cable. Just like all CLOKEY™ operations, the authorized staff member places their finger on the sensor and if a match is found in the encrypted database, the door will unlock. CkiDX has a friendly interface that sends audible beeps and lights (red & green) to provide feedback to the staff member activated the door locking mechanism.

Use this device if:

  • users database is small (10 to 30, depends also how fast is the host PC)
  • response time is not a priority.
  • you do not need to activate ILS surveillance manually.

CLOKEY™ Quick Finder (CkiQF)

CLOKEY™ Quick Finder (CkiQF) is a keypad, clock display and U.are.U® Fingerprint Sensor in a remote single unit. It can be connected to the computer running CLOKEY™ via a serial and USB port. The advantage of CkiQF is for companies with large numbers of users. It dramatically speeds up the search time for a fingerprint because the staff member keys in a personal identification code and then place their finger on the sensor. The CLOKEY™ engine uses this ID code to find the stored fingerprint and then performs a match to the fingerprint sensor. CkiQF has a clock display (four digits) showing hours and minutes, and is remotely timed by the CLOKEY™ engine.

Use this device if:

  • users database is large (up to 999999)
  • response time is a priority, particularly in time attendance system where all people are clocking at the same time.
  • you use ILS surveillance and need to activate manually from outside.
